According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple, Friday (April 19), removed the communication software developed by Meta and Threads, a communication software developed by Meta.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple revealed that this is the China Internet Information Office for national security considerations and requires them to delete these applications.
The newspaper quoted an Apple spokesman's statement saying: "We have the obligation to comply with the laws of the country where the business is, even if we do not agree."All applications in the country must be recorded from the Provincial Communications Administration in where they are located.Applications that are launched before the notice are required to be completed before the end of March 2024.Those with no filing shall not engage in network information services.
The notice of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also said that from April to the end of June this year, the competent telecommunications department will organize supervision and inspection of the application of the application case, and deal with applications that have not performed the filing procedures in accordance with the law.
