According to Hong Kong on Thursday, 01 (May 2), Luo Shupei, Director of the Hong Kong Housing Department, said at the meeting of the Kwun Tong District Council that he had received reports from public housing residents holding multiple properties on the mainland.And the mainland department assisted in the verification of the public housing unit after the incident.
Luo Shupei emphasized that the government will examine the case. If the public house residents have left Hong Kong for a period of time due to work or enrollment, as long as there is a certificate, the unit will not be recovered.
The Housing Department strengthens the crackdown of public housing and requires residents to declare whether they have property.The Hong Kong media AM730 reported earlier that the monthly total income and total assets of public housing applicants and their family members must not exceed the relevant limit set by the Housing Commission, and the limit will be revised year by year.
The official website of the Housing Department shows that if the tenant is confirmed to be abused public housing, the lease will be terminated.If they know a false statement, they may be prosecuted.
