The Washington National Zoo announced that two giant pandas will be ushered at the end of this year.
Comprehensive Bloomberg and China News Agency reported that the garden announced on Wednesday (May 29) at the press conference that the male panda "Baoli" and female from the Chinese Great Panda Protection Research CenterThe giant panda "Qingbao" will come to Washington at the end of this year.
"Bao Li" and "Qingbao" were born in August 2021 and September 2021, respectively.Among them, the mother of "Baoli" is the "baby" born in the Washington National Zoo. Its grandparents are "Tim" and "Meixiang" who have lived in the Washington National Zoo for more than 20 years.
Two giant pandas will stay in the zoo until April 2034.According to past agreements, the pairs of pandas and their offspring will always be owned by China.
Bloomberg reported that this is a sign of China's transformation of policies after recovering all giant pandas leased to the United States.Dennis Wilder, an expert in the former White House and the Central Intelligence Bureau, said: "This transformation of the Chinese policy shows that Beijing knows that it must find a way to contact the American people in a more positive way."
