According to the German New News Agency reported on May 7, the German Digitalization and Transportation Minister Form Vindin opposed the European Union's punishment tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles.
The German Liberal Democratic Party politician said: "We don't want to block the market, we want to participate in competition."
Verity said that the German government hopes to ensure that German companies continue to create added value in the country and maintain competitiveness in global trade.
"Because of this, we hope that international trade will be carried out in a fair and standardized competitive environment, rather than a trade war through punishment tariffs."
Vechin believes that this is vital to countries like Germany that seriously depend on global trade.
The minister said: "We produce products for the world, we hope to continue to do this in the future. As far as our product quality is concerned, we are in a favorable position internationally."
It is reported that since last fall, the European Commission has been investigating whether the electric vehicles made in China have benefited from the so -called "illegal subsidy".
