Vice Secretary of State Wilma Visit China and China Deputy Foreign Minister Ma Chaoxu

Vice Secretary of State Wilma has arrived in China and met with Ma Zhaoxu, deputy minister of Chinese Foreign Ministry.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China announced on the official website that Ma Chaoxu should meet with Richard Verma on Monday (May 6) to exchange opinions on Sino -US relations and issues concerned by both parties.

The U.S. State Department announced earlier that Verma, responsible for management and resource affairs, will visit China and the Philippines from May 6th to 10th.

The State Council introduced that Verma will visit the US Embassy in China and the Consulate General in Shenyang, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Verma will also meet with members of the American business community in Shanghai.The U.S. State Department said that Verma will advocate a fair competitive environment for American workers and companies operating in China.
