Taiwanese writer Qi Bangyuan on Thursday (March 28)He died in the early morning at the age of 100.
Comprehensive Taiwan United Daily News and Liberty Times reported that Qi Bangyuan was born in 1924 and was from Tieling, Liaoning.He graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages of Wuhan University and came to Taiwan in 1947 and studied at the Indiana University in 1968.She has served as the director of the Department of Foreign Languages of ZTE University.
She retired from the professor of the Department of Foreign Languages from Taiwan University in 1988 and was hired as an honorary professor at the National Taiwan University.
Qi Bangyuan has been committed to the translation of modern literature in Taiwan for many years, and promoted the literary translation of literary works such as Wu Zhaliu, Zhu Tianwen, and Pinglu, and also gave birth to the Taiwan Literature Museum.She has won the Cultural Award of the Executive Yuan, the Chinese Arts Association Literature and Art Medal, and the May 4th Award Literature Exchange Award.
Qi Bangyuan stayed in the Chang Geng Health Village in his later years, and consumed four years. He published a huge rivers in 2009. He experienced his own experience of reviewing and describing for 100 years and across the two sides of the strait.
The English version of the huge rivers came out in 2018. The following year, Qibangyuan received the University of Indiana to Taiwan to give a honorary doctorate degree.At that time, at the age of 95, she said in a speech: "I live in love in my life, especially my parents' love given me, in order to commemorate them and promote me to write this book."
