Hong Kong Chief Executive Li Jiachao passed the 23 -day legislative draft of the Basic Law in the Legislative Council, and met with Xia Baolong, director of the Hong Kong and Macau Work Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council in Shenzhen.
The official website of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council of China announced that Xia Baolong met with Li Jiachao and his party on Thursday (March 21) to hear the relevant work report.
Hong Kong's "Sing Tao Headline" reported that Hong Kong government officials who held the basic law of the Basic Law participated in the meeting, including Lin Dingguo, director of the Department of Justice, and Deng Bingqiang, director of the Security Bureau.In terms of Hong Kong and Macao Office, four deputy directors Zhou Yan, Zheng Yanxiong (director of the Hong Kong China Cooperative Office), Wang Linggui and Nongrong also attended.
The Hong Kong Legislative Council on Tuesday (19th) of the Hong Kong Legislative Council passed the draft of the national security regulations (that is, Article 23 of the Basic Law).
