The Systems of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China was attacked by hardship software.Disclosure leads to confusion in the U.S. Treasury market.According to media reports, the attack may come from a Russian background, and has also attacked hackers from Boeing companies before.

Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Co., Ltd., a wholly -owned subsidiary of the United States, ICBC Financial Services Co., Ltd. (ICBCFS) local time on Thursday (November 9) on the official website to confirm that ICBCFS is in East Eastern Time timeWednesday (November 8) was attacked by ransomware, resulting in some system interruption.

ICBCFS said that it was immediately cut off and isolate the affected system after the attack was found. It has launched a thorough investigation and reported to the law enforcement department. It is promoting the recovery work with the support of the professional information security expert team.

ICBCFS said that the US Treasury transaction and repurchase financing transactions completed on Thursday have been successfully settled on Wednesday.The statement said that the system of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and other subsidiaries at home and abroad was not affected by the incident, and the New York Branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China was not affected.

Bloomberg reported that the attack once caused confusion in the US government bond market, some transactions could not be settled, and traders were asked to change the trading route.

The report quoted information about people familiar with the matter, saying that it may be an organization named Lockbit who attacked ICBC. The organization is said to have a Russian background and previously attacked Boeing, ION Trading Company and Royal Britain (Royal Mail) et al.

The organization is accustomed to encrypting the files on the victim's computer with a malware, and then required to pay the cost of the unlock file.

The victims also include Japan's largest seaport, the US Ministry of Finance in the United States and a Canadian children's hospital.

The US Cyberspace Security and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) said that Lockbit was the world's most active ransomware organization last year.
