The assistant of Wang Tinghui, chairman of Vietnam Parliament, and Fan Taihe, deputy director of the General Office of Congress, have been arrested by the Vietnamese police for abuse of power.
According to Reuters, the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security said on Monday (April 22) in a statement that Fan Taihe was detained because of the bid violations of the local architect THuan An Group.The official is investigating the case of the Shunan Group.
Ruan Weixing, chairman of Shun'an Group and Ruan Kemin, deputy general manager, was arrested for serious consequences and bribery on April 15 for violating the provisions of the bidding.Famous officials were also detained.
Shun'an Group was established in 2004. When its registered capital was established, it was 4 billion Vietnamese Shield (about S $ 214,000), and it had reached 800 billion Vietnamese shields by 2021.Shun'an Group has successfully bid at least 39 projects, including multiple bridges, highways and canal improvement projects in Ho Chi Minh City, with a total value of more than 22600 billion Vietnamese shields.
According to the Vietnamese media VNEXPRESS, the police have requested multiple local governments such as Doro Province and Fu'an Province to provide documents related to the bidding plan of the Shunan Group.

Ruan Qingjiang pointed out that a document released by the Vietnam in 2017 stipulated that officials "lack of management and supervision of subordinates, and making errors in key personnel selection" will trigger internal discipline sanctions.
Ruan Qingjiang said: "If Wang Tinghui has the ambition to become the next general secretary, then it seems extremely difficult now because the official media has disclosed the crime that his assistant is suspected."
