The official officially announced the launch of the COMLINK+(Comlink+) in November last year, and will gradually trial the four major assistance facilities that cover employment, save money to buy houses, reduce debt, and preschool education.This series of measures will be trial for three years. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Huang Xuncai issued a fiscal budget statement on Friday (February 16) in the 2024 budget, saying that improving the assistance supporting facilities launched by the version of the community connection plan is an innovation in the field of local social aid policies.
He said that compared to other developed economies, Singapore's current performance is still relatively good, but Singapore must pay special attention to children with low -income families to ensure that they have obtained fair and comprehensive development opportunities since childhood.
Many vulnerable families are working hard to improve their lives, but it is difficult to continue to improve because of many complex challenges.Under the Comlink+plan, the beneficiary family will receive more assistance to their respective needs.Family mentors will work closely with the family to jointly formulate action plans, and through relevant assistance facilities, encourage these families to achieve the goals such as settlement of debts or accumulating savings to improve their lives.
Assisting vulnerable families to stabilize employment and reduce debt
The first launch of the first half of this year is aid support for preschool education.
If the beneficiary family allows children to enter the childlike children when they are three years old, the child can get a child breeding account of 500 yuan at a time; if you make sure the child is regularly at the age of three to six, and maintains at least 75 % of the attendance rate,It can also be filled by 200 yuan per quarter.
As for the other three assistance facilities, that is, to assist disadvantaged families to maintain stable employment, reduce debt, and purchase of houses, it will gradually be launched from 2025.
Among them, supporting employment facilities encourage adults with ability to maintain a stable work with a provident fund and a monthly salary of at least 1,400 yuan.If they have the job, they can be filled in cash and provident fund issued 450 yuan to 550 yuan every three months; if two adults have two adults employment and meet the above conditions, each family will get 50 yuan.In other words, adults in the beneficiary family can get up to 600 yuan cash and provident fund to fill in each quarter.Each household benefits at most two adults.
As for the support of the saving of money and buying a house, the low -income families are filled with the provident fund account, which can get the government's pairing to fill the funding and increase the savings faster.Huang Xuncai pointed out that the family has the above -mentioned aid, and the existing projects such as re -supporting the house can also realize the dream of holding the house faster.
The government will cooperate with enterprises and community groups to promote Comlink+aid supporting facilities.Donors can provide economic assistance to beneficiated families, or to help vulnerable families stand back firmly through friendly services or mentor programs.
Huang Xuncai emphasized that it is only necessary to help each citizen build a Singapore dream, not just to do more by the government. Employers, community groups, individuals, and families must work hard to create a fair and tolerant Singapore.
