The latest data released by China show that the unemployment rate of urban surveys in the country in September was 5.0%, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points from last month, and decreased for two consecutive months.

China National Bureau of Statistics issued economic data on the official website on Wednesday (October 18), of which the national urban survey unemployment rate decreased from 5.2%in August in September.In the first three quarters of this year, the average unemployment rate of urban surveys nationwide was 5.3%.

Bloomberg reported that last year, due to strict epidemic prevention and controlling last year, economic growth has slowed sharply. The unemployment rate has reached 6.1%, and now it has dropped to the lowest level since November 2021.

The National Bureau of Statistics of China said in July that the labor unemployment rate of 16 to 24 years old reached 21.3%of the record in June, and it shows that the unemployment rate in the next month may be higher;Yue also said that it would suspend the announcement of the unemployment rate of youth investigation, saying that the statistics of labor survey needed to be further improved and optimized.This exacerbates investors' concerns about Chinese data transparency and reliability.
