Comprehensive Agence France -Presse and Bloomberg reported that human rights experts appointed by the four UN Human Rights Council issued a statement on Monday (January 22) saying: "Li Zhiying has been arrested, detained, and faces a series of criminal proceedings in the past few years.It seems to be directly related to his criticism of the Chinese government and supporting Hong Kong democracy.
Four experts said that they have been violated many times for Li Zhiying's remarks, peace rally and the freedom of associations, and the right to obtain fair trials, including the lawyer and official judge who have been rejected to meet with him.

Li Zhiying and six other Apple Daily and One Chuan Media senior management were arrested in violation of the Hong Kong National Security Law in 2020.The case started from December 18 last year.
