According to the news released by the website of the State Supervision Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Saturday (October 21), Zhang Xiulong is suspected of serious disciplinary violations and is currently being reviewed and investigated.
Public resumes show that Zhang Xiulong is 65 years old. He is a native of Huaihua, Hunan. He was a deputy secretary of the Nanning District Committee and the Commissioner of the Commission, Chongzuo City Mayor, Mayor Guilin City Mayor, and the Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee.
Since 2013, Zhang Xiulong has successively served as the vice chairman of the CPPCC of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the vice chairman of the autonomous region government, and the deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Autonomous Region People's Congress. He stepped down in January 2022.
This is the second middle management cadre who has been checked in the past three days.
