(Beijing Comprehensive News) In response to the EU's anti -subsidy survey initiated by Chinese electric vehicles, the Minister of Commerce of China Wang Wentao reiterated China's resolute opposition and emphasized that there is no excess capacity in the electric vehicle industry.
According to the website of the Ministry of Commerce of China, Wang Wentao said on Monday (April 29) and Mueller, chairman of the German Automobile Industry Association, said that from the global and future needs, emerging industries such as electric vehicles do not have excess capacity. The government should provide enterprises with a free and fair competitive environment, rather than being targeted or settled.
He reiterated that China has resolutely opposed the EU's anti -subsidy investigation initiated by Chinese electric vehicles, and said that the survey had neither the initiative to apply for European companies nor the support of the industry.
The United States and Europe have recently accused China of overcapacity in electric vehicles, photovoltaic, lithium batteries and other fields. In October last year, the European Union launched an anti -subsidy survey of many Chinese new energy companies.Since March this year, the EU requires nine months of customs registration for imported electric vehicles in China, and may impose traceability tariffs on it.
When talking about the cooperation between the Sino -German automotive industry, Wang Wentao said that this is the benchmark for cooperation between China and Germany and China and Europe. The Chinese government welcomes the German automotive industry to actively seize the opportunities for China's green transformation and intelligent development, strengthen investment and research and development cooperation with China, and use the car to promote consumption policies such as old and new to promote the Chinese market and achieve mutual benefit and win -win.
Chinese press release quoted Mueller that the German automotive industry resolutely supports market opening and fair competition, opposed to trade protectionism, and plus tariffs is not a solution to trade issues. In the fields of low -carbon reduction, circular economy and other fields, Chinese car companies are welcome to invest in Germany.
