The Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision issued the news of Zheng Jiane's investigation on Tuesday (April 2).

In January 2021, Zheng Jiane resigned as the mayor of Shantou City and was transferred to the chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Rural Agriculture Commission of Guangdong Province. He stepped down two years later.
On November 30 last year, the Fourth Inspection Team of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee inspected the Shantou City Mobilization Meeting.According to the Beijing News, the inspection team worked in Shantou for about two months, that is, the inspection work ended around the end of January this year. In less than three months, Zheng Jiane was investigated.
