According to Beijing Daily on Friday (March 29), the ninth meeting of the Standing Committee of the 16th National People's Congress of Beijing voted: decided to appoint Ma Jun and Mu Peng as the deputy mayor of Beijing.

Ma Jun has long served as the education system and has served as the president of Beijing Normal University, familiar with the financial budget management; Mu Peng has previously served as the secretary -general of the Beijing Municipal Government.

Public information shows that Ma Jun was born in April 1969, with doctor of philosophy, professor, and doctoral supervisor.

Ma Jun taught at Sun Yat -sen University in 2002 and served as teachers, associate professors of the School of Political and Public Affairs Management, and was the dean of the School of Politics and Public Affairs Management in 2009.In 2014, Ma Jun served as the vice president of Sun Yat -sen University and the deputy secretary of the party committee in 2017. Until November 2019, he was clearly the executive deputy secretary and vice president of the Party Committee of Sun Yat -sen University.

In May 2022, Ma Jun was promoted to the Deputy Secretary and President of the Party Committee of Beijing Normal University.Ma Jun's main research areas are public budget and fiscal management, public management, national construction, financial history, and administrative history.

In March 2024, Ma Jun stepped down as the president of Beijing Normal University and served as a member of the party group of the Beijing Municipal Government.

Mu Peng was born in May 1966, a master's degree in business management of senior management.

Mu Peng has worked in Haidian District, Beijing for a long time.He served as secretary of the Yanqing District Committee of the year.In March 2022, Mu Peng was appointed as the director of the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, and in January 2023, he ranked among the members of the Beijing Municipal Government's party group, and later served as Secretary -General of the Municipal Government.
