The United States is taking measures to implement new visa restrictions on many Hong Kong officials who are accused of rights and freedom.

Reuters reported that the U.S. State Department announced on Friday (March 29) that it would submit a report on the Hong Kong policy law to Congress on Friday (March 29).

U.S. Secretary of State Broskel issued a statement saying that in the past year, China has continued to take action against Hong Kong's high degree of autonomy, democratic systems, and rights and freedoms, including Article 23 of the Hong Kong Basic Law that is recently taken into effect.

Brinken said: "In response, the State Council announced measures to implement new visa restrictions on multiple Hong Kong officials responsible for stepping on rights and freedom."

The statement did not mention the status of Hong Kong officials who will face new visa restrictions.

According to the Hong Kong Policy Law passed in 1992, the US State Department submits a report and a certificate of attachment to the Hong Kong policy law to Congress each year.In the statement, Brinken said that he once again proved that Hong Kong could not enjoy the special treatment it was enjoyed by the US law before returning to China on July 1, 1997.

Brinken also said in a statement: "We are committed to continuing to cooperate with Congress and the international community, standing with the people of Hong Kong, calling on the right to restore the protection of Hong Kong people to be protected by people, and immediately release the unfairness of the National Security Law.Those who are detained or imprisoned and respect the rule of law.
