The Philippines on Wednesday (March 6) accused China of "intentionally provoking the incident" in the South China Sea, and the contradiction between the two countries did not calm down.
Reuters reported that Maraja, a spokesman for the South China Sea Special Forces of the Philippines, also said that China "maliciously incite hype" and reiterated that the Philippines would not abandon the power of maritime activities.
He also said that the South China Sea Waterway is wide, which is enough to allow the two countries to live peacefully.
The day before, the Philippines accused the Chinese maritime police officers of launching water cannons on Filipino vessels and condemned the Chinese "unprecedented coercion behavior and hazardous actions".The Philippine vessels were performing supply missions for the southern China Ayunjin Reef (known as Renai Reef) to sit on the beach.
Maraa said at a press conference that the Chinese maritime police's behavior was "provocative" and "illegal", "not the behavior of maritime police."
