The medical talent exchange plan of the second phase of the Greater Bay Area in Hong Kong will be launched in the first quarter of next year.

The Hong Kong Hospital Authority ushered in more than 80 medical staff in the first phase of the Dawan District Medical Talent Exchange Program. They all came from Guangdong Province, including doctors, nurses and Chinese medicine.

When introducing overseas recruitment, Fan Hongling said that since April this year, the bureau has issued a letter of employment to 160 doctors. These doctors are mainly from the United Kingdom and Australia, as well as the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Ireland., Malaysia, India, Taiwan, and South Africa, 120 of them have been hired and are arranged to go to Hong Kong; the remaining 40 are undergoing various procedures, and it is expected that they will join the Hospital Authority within next year.
According to reports, the Hong Kong Hospital Authority launched the Global Medical Talent Gathering Plan in June this year. At present, 25 doctors have signed up for participation.Doctors from Malaysia, Britain and other places are expected to go to Hong Kong next year.
The Hong Kong Hospital Administration also conducts a Macau medical specialty training plan with the Macau Health Bureau. It is expected that at least 10 doctors will go to Hong Kong to participate in training next year.
