(Tokyo Comprehensive News) Agreement to promote joint military exercises and strengthen defense cooperation will take effect on October 15.This is the second mutually reciprocal access agreement signed by Japan and other countries, which is considered to be aimed at responding to the continuous enhanced military power of China in the Indo -Pacific region.
At the cabinet meeting on Friday (September 15), the Japanese government finalized the effective date of this reciprocal access agreement.

The Japanese parliament approved the agreement between Japan and the United Kingdom and Australia in April.The Japanese and British Agreement was signed by Japanese Prime Minister Kishida and British Prime Minister Suonak in London in January.The Japan Times reported that Japan had signed a similar agreement with the United States as early as 1960, called the military status agreement.
Mu Yuanye, who was just committed to the Minister of Defense on Wednesday (13th), said at a press conference on Friday: "We will use the agreement to strengthen the mutual operations between the Japanese and English troops, and deepen the defense cooperation between the two countries."
