(Washington News) For the first time, the U.S. military publicly acknowledged that China has deployed a new type of ballistic missile with a farther range on six strategic nuclear submarines, which has greatly shortened the distance to combat the United States.

Papalo, commander of the Pacific Pacific Fleet on Friday (November 18), told reporters at a conference in Washington that six Chinese promotion submarines are now equipped with JL-3 intercontinental ballistic missiles.

He said: "(China) manufacturing these missiles aims to threaten the United States ... The United States is paying close attention to the movement of those submarines."

However, Paparo refused to disclose whether China had sent any one of the six submarines to the so -called "deterrent patrol" near Hawaii.

The Pentagon's annual China Military Report released last year that the promotion of submarine and JL-2 missiles will enable the Chinese army to have "the first batch of reliable sea-based nuclear capabilities".The United States launch an attack.

The US Congress Research Office estimates that China's previous JL-2 missiles have a range of about 7,200 kilometers, and the PLA submarine can only attack some parts of Alaska from China's offshore. If the missiles are to be shot on the East Coast of the United States, these submarines must enter the waters of the East of Hawaii.

The more range of JL-3 missiles will change this situation. In March of this year, Richard, commander of the United States Strategic Command, told the Senate Military Commission that the new submarine missiles have allowed China to have the ability to attack the United States in the United States.

It was previously reported that the range of JL-3 missiles can exceed 10,000 kilometers.

Richard said: "They now have the ability to use the promotional submarine to show the patrol of determination at sea ... There will be more in place next, they have a real nuclear command and control system."
