The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan announced that the Paraguay Senate Speaker Overral visited Taiwan from Sunday (April 14).This is the second Paraguayan official who visited Taiwan in one month.
The Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs introduced in the official website press release that Silvio Adalberto Ovelar Benítez was invited by the Taiwan government to visit Taiwan from April 14th to 18th.The interview aims to promote the exchanges between the two parties and further understand the current status of Taiwan's political and economic and scientific and technological progress.
Ovillar served as the Minister of Social Action in 2004 and the Senate President in 2019 twice to visit Taiwan.
During the visit to Taiwan, they will meet with Tsai Ing -wen and the president Lai Qingde, and accept the banquets of the Legislative Dean Han Yu and Foreign Minister Wu Zhaozheng.The delegation will also visit the Consortium's International Cooperation and Development Foundation, Overseas Investment and Development Co., Ltd., Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei MRT High Transport System Control Center, Taiwan Facts Investigation Center, Cathay Pacific Comprehensive Hospital and Visit Kaohsiung Foshan Buddha Memorial HallOwner institutions.
Paraguay is one of the 12 diplomatic relations between Taiwan and the only diplomatic country in Taiwan in South America.
Before that, Gustavo Emigdio Villate SamanieGo, the Minister of Barguay, visited Taiwan from March 17th to 21st.
