It is reported that Jiang Zemin is a "completely materialist". He left his will during his lifetime, and his ashes were sprinkled in the Yangtze River and the sea.
At 8:10 am on the 11th, the staff of the Cai Qi, the officers of the Memorial Committee and the relatives of Jiang Zemin bowed to Jiang Zemin.Subsequently, relatives held the statue of Jiang Zemin, ashes and wreaths, and slowly walked out of the Zhongnanhai Betang.
The hearse entered the western suburbs of Beijing, and the Air Force officers and soldiers queued off their caps to take off the special planes carrying Jiang Zemin's ashes.At 11:05 am, the special plane of Jiang Zemin's ashes arrived at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport.Subsequently, the ashes were carried by the hearse to Wusongjun Port.
Jiang Zemin's relatives took the ashes to board the PLA Yangzhou ship.Yangzhou is the hometown of Jiang Zemin.
At 12:35 noon, the Yangzhou ship arrived at the waters of the Yangtze River in Haikou.On the warship deck, Cai Qi and Jiang Zemin's relatives sprinkled Jiang Zemin's ashes and petals to Jianghai.
Jiang Zemin died in Shanghai on November 30 at the age of 96.The memorial service was held on December 6 in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. At the memorial service, the Chinese official evaluated Jiang Zemin's "establishing immortal achievements for the party and the people."
