Agence France -Presse reported that the Yawan high -speed railway was 124 kilometers in length and connected to the Indonesian capital Jakarta and the fourth largest city Bandung. It is an iconic project under the "Belt and Road" initiative in China.The train can reach 350 kilometers per hour, and it is built by a Sino -Indian joint venture and costs more than $ 7 billion (about S $ 9.5 billion).
Indonesian President Zoko will unveil the project on Monday.According to local media quoted officials, Zoko praised the Yawan high -speed rail to provide fast transportation services between the two cities on the island of Java, Indonesia.
The original Yawan high -speed railway was originally expected to cost less than $ 5 billion and was completed in 2019. However, due to the problem of crown disease and soaring costs, the project was delayed for four years before completing.
Before opening, Indonesian officials have been testing this railway.Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang tried to take the Yawan high -speed rail with the Indonesian Ocean and Investment Minister Luhut on September 6.
Luhut told reporters on Thursday (September 28) that Zoko plans to invite Chinese officials to take trains in the future, but no more details are provided.
