The Shenzhen -Middle Channel will open to traffic on Sunday (June 30).Hong Kong media reported that Chinese national leaders will attend the opening ceremony.
According to sources quoted by the Hong Kong Sing Tao Daily, the opening ceremony will be held in the morning, and it is expected that state leaders will attend.
The Shenzhen -Middle Channel Management Center announced earlier that the Shenzhen -Middle Channel will be officially opened to traffic at 3 pm on June 30.
The Shenzhen -Middle Channel, which is 24 kilometers long and connected to Shenzhen and Zhongshan, is another super engineering connecting the Pearl River East and West Straits after the Hong Kong -Zhuhai -Macao Bridge.
This cross -sea channel will shorten the two -hour drive between Shenzhen and Zhongshan to half an hour, greatly improving the commute and logistics efficiency of the two places.
