Australian Chinese writer Yang Heng was detained in China for more than four years. His two sons wrote a letter to Australian Prime Minister Albanis, asking him to urge Beijing to release their father during his visit to China.

Comprehensive Bloomberg, Reuters, and Agence France -Presse reported that Yang Hengjun's son said in this letter entitled to save our father that they were inspired by the release of Australian Chinese reporter Cheng Lei last month.The Australian government can create a "second miracle".

Albanis will visit China on Saturday (November 4). This is the first time that Australian leaders have visited China since 2016.Albanis will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping next Monday (November 6).

Yang Hengjun's son called on Albanis to do everything to save Yang Hengjun's life in the letter.The letter wrote: "Our father is particularly clear about the risk of death due to medical abuse, because he has witnessed this kind of incident on his friends."

Previously, Yang Hengjun's friends, Sydney TechnologyFeng Chongyi, an associate professor at the University of China, said that when the Australian Embassy in China was visiting Yang Hengjun at the end of August, he learned that his kidneys had a 10 -centimeter cyst and might have to undergo surgery.It is understood that renal cysts are generally harmless, but they may cause disease and need to be removed.

Yang Hengjun's son also said in the believers that Yang Hengjun told Australian consular official last week that he was "basically not bed" and could not walk for three weeks, and he was worried that his cause was unknown.He said: "I'm sick, my body is weak, and my life is shortly."

Yang Hengjun's son lives in Australia.They said that on Friday (October 27), Yang Heng received a letter written to them for the first time from prison.

They said that Yang Heng did not "plead guilty" and said that he was still innocent in accordance with Chinese law.

Yang Hengjun took a plane from the United States to Guangzhou, China in January 2019. He was arrested and detained by Beijing officials for suspected spy.

A target of Albanis after coming to power last year is to improve relations with China.

The Chinese ambassador to Australia, Xiao Qian, said at an event held by the Asian Association in Melbourne earlier that Albanis's visit to China this year will promote improvement of Sino -Australian relations.

He said that the common ground between China and Australia is greater than differences, which provides a basic background for the restoration of relations between the two countries. "We hope that (China -Australia relations) will surpass stability and further improve."
