China has served as the UN Security Council's rotating chairman in November since Wednesday (November 1).

Xinhua News Agency reported the above news on Thursday (November 2), and said that the Chinese permanent representative of the United Nations Zhang Jun presided over the internal consultation of the Security Council on Wednesday and passed the work plan of the Security Council this month.

Zhang Jun said that the situation of Pakistani is the most important job in the Security Council's agenda this month.The priority is to promote suspension and stop war to prevent more civilian casualties, larger humanitarian disasters and conflicts overflowing.

He emphasized that as the rotating chairman of the Security Council, China will conform to the voices of the international community and promote the timely responsible and meaningful collective action to promote the Security Council in a timely manner.

According to the work plan, the Security Council will review Palestinee, Syria, Yemen, Bosnia and Herzegovina and other issues this month.Xinhua News Agency reported that under the initiative of China, the Security Council will hold an open debate on November 20 around the theme of "Common Development to Promote Permanent Peace".

The chairman of the Security Council is taken turns by 15 member states of the Security Council for a month.The first time in China was the chairman of the Security Council in August 2022.
