The official website of the People's Government of Bijie Qixing District issued a notice on Tuesday (October 10).Guide holes, suspected gas explosions occurred during the blocking construction at around 12:00 on the same day, causing six construction workers to be trapped.
After the accident, the local government immediately launched an emergency plan, organizing emergency, fire protection and other departments to the scene as soon as possible to carry out rescue in conjunction with the construction party.
At present, five of the six trapped people are unfortunately killed. One is being treated in the hospital. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
