The Microsoft Corporation of the United States said that hackers related to China have invaded email accounts of more than 20 organizations including some US government agencies.
According to Bloomberg report, Microsoft's blog released on Tuesday (July 11) stated that the hacker involved invaded the email account of about 25 institutions in mid -May.Microsoft calls these hackers "Storm-0558" and refers to this security vulnerability after the investigation was launched in mid-June.
Charlie Bell, executive vice president of Microsoft, wrote in another blog, "Our assessment is that the other party is conducting espionage activities, such as invasion of email system collection information."
He added that Storm-0558 entered the email by falsifying the authentication required to access the user email account.
Microsoft said that the affected customers had been notified and related response measures were completed.
