The Republican House of Representatives Chinese Affairs Committee led by Republican Party proposed on Wednesday (May 24) that the U.S. Congress took action against Taiwan and Uyghur issues.

According to Reuters, the committee passed two reports with verbally voting on the same day. One of the reports involving Uyghur topics proposed sanctions on Chinese technology companies that are considered to participate in racial extinction, and targeted imported Uighurs to import UyghurThe commodities made by the tribe forced labor, and strengthened the current legal implementation of this matter.China has denied forced labor in the territory.

As for Taiwan -related topics, some policies proposed by the committee, such as improving the joint training of the US -Taiwan military and accelerating the speed of weapon delivery that the US Congress has approved for sale, may be included in the National Defense Law Case.

The responsibilities of this committee make policy suggestions, but they are not responsible for drafting the bill.
