The Chinese ambassador to the United States Cui Tiankai pointed out yesterday (27th) that the United States requires a structural reform of China's economic and trade policies to take several years to implement it.

According to the Hong Kong South China Morning Post today, Cui Tiankai also criticized the United States to adopt criminal prosecution against Huawei, saying that the move was stupid and absurd.

When talking about recent trade consultations, Cui Tiankai told the South China Morning Post that some commitments to buy American goods can be realized in the short term, others need to pass legislative procedures, and may spend five to ten years to achieve.

When asked what the specific reform items that needed this year would be solved, Cui Tiankai did not further explain, but he pointed out that some demands are in line with the long -term economic reform plan of the Beijing authorities.
