The population structure of Hong Kong continues to be more women and fewer men. The latest figures of the Statistics Office of the SAR Government show that women are more than 650,000 more than men.
According to the Hong Kong News Agency on Monday (August 28), as of the end of last year, the number of women in Hong Kong was more than 4.06 million, and the number of men was more than 3.4 million.
In terms of birth numbers, the number of women and male living babies decreased from 17993 in 2021 and 17,960 to 15,663 and 16,838 last year, which were reduced.More than 10 %.The average life expectancy of women and men was born from 87.9 and 83.2 in 2021 to 87.2 and 81.3 in 2022, respectively.
In terms of marriage, the overall number of marriage rose from 26,899 in 2021 to 30,000 last year.The rough marriage rates of women and men were 7.5 and 8.9, respectively, both than the corresponding ratio in 2021.However, the mid -marriage age was delayed. In 2020, women and men were married at the age of 30.4 and 31.9 respectively. Last year, they had been detained to 30.7 years and 32.2 years old.
The overall labor population participation rate fell from 59.4%in 2021 to 58.2%last year. The women and men's labor population were 1.89 million and 1.88 million, respectively.Higher than women, recorded 2.8%and 5.1%, and women recorded 1.9%and 3.5%respectively.Men's median monthly income is HK $ 21,000 (about S $ 3627), which is more than HK $ 15,000.
