The website of the State Administration of Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China on Wednesday (July 12) released news that Dong Yunhu was suspected of serious disciplinary violations and is currently undergoing discipline review and supervision and investigation by the National Commission for Discipline Inspection.

It is understood that Dong Yunhu was taken away by the disciplinary inspection department on Tuesday (11th).The Jiefang Daily published on the same day also reported on the news that he went to the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences on July 10 and discussed and communicated with experts and scholars.This is believed to be Dong Yunhu's last public appearance.

Dong Yunhu, 61, is a native of Xianju in Zhejiang. He is known as the "first person in China Human Rights Research" and has long been in the propaganda department for a long time.He studied philosophy at Hangzhou University and Nankai University. After graduating from a master's degree in 1986, he entered the Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. He has successively served as deputy director of the Marxist Institute and director of the Human Rights Research Center for more than ten years.

Dong Yunhu served as the Director of the Seventh Bureau of the Central Foreign Affairs Office (Journalism Office of the State Council) in 1997. In 2009, he was promoted to the Deputy Director of the Foreign Propaganda Office and the Deputy Director of the National New Office.Secretary -General and other positions.
