(Taipei Comprehensive News) Taiwanese businessmen have been officially announced to cancel their Taiwan household registration by Taiwan officials.

On Wednesday (May 22), the mainland committee of Taiwan issued a press release on the official website, stating that Mr. Lian Mou Ming (after investigation as Lian Ming) suspected to be a member of the Hunan Provincial Political Consultative Conference, involving violating the regulations on the People's Relations Regulations of Taiwan and the Mainland China(Referred to as the Cross -Strait Regulations) Article 33 stipulates that the competent authority is investigating and punishing.He was also considered by Taiwan prosecutors for violations of the election law and accepted the funding of the mainland.

The MAC said that after verification, Mr. Lian had a household registration in mainland China and violated Article 9 1 of the Cross -Strait Regulations. The competent authority had canceled its household registration and lost the status of the people in Taiwan in accordance with the law.

The MAC reminds that in accordance with the regulations on Cross -Strait, the people of Taiwan shall not have a household registration or use of mainland Chinese passports in mainland China, nor shall not serve as a member of the party's party affairs, military, administrative and other members of mainland China.

The official website of the Hunan Provincial Political Consultative Conference official website shows that Lian Shang Ming has been a member since January last year, and is affiliated to the Hunan Provincial Committee of the People's Republic of China.Taiwan Wangbao quoted the mainland media in January that Lian Shangming participated in the two sessions of Hunan Province as a member of the CPPCC.
