He said, WeChat Pay has launched a pilot from 2019 to support overseas users to consume some pilot merchants after binding international cards, such as the China Railway 12306 ticket purchase platform, JD.com, Ctrip, etc.; From mid -July, in mid -July;From the end of the day, WeChat Pay will be fully opened to the international card.
It is understood that the open online and offline merchants scenes include and are not limited to merchants such as commercial super shopping, catering, hotel accommodation, transportation travel, etc., covering the fields of clothing, food, housing and transportation.However, overseas users cannot pay for social attributes such as personal transfer and red envelopes on WeChat after binding international cards.
Alipay, another major electronic payment platform in China, has also allowed overseas users to bind international credit cards in China for cashless payment.
