The first gold medal winner of the China Speed Ice Winter Olympics Zhang Hong Monday (February 13) announced his retirement.
According to Xinhua News Agency, the 9th anniversary and retirement ceremony of the Zhanghong Winter Olympics and the retirement ceremony was held on the Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau on Monday.
Zhang Hong said that although she farewell to the field after the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, she never gave up her efforts to participate in the Beijing Winter Olympics as athletes.Due to knee injuries, Zhang Hong failed to stand on the track again, but appeared at the Beijing Winter Olympics as members of the International Olympic Committee, the guests and the awarding guests.
For the future, Zhang Hong said that she will be in many international organizations, the Rainbow Fund, and the International Olympic Research Center of Harbin Institute of Technology, including the International Olympic Committee.And the spread of ice and snow culture to make more efforts and contributions.
Zhang Hong was born in Harbin in 1988. In 2008, it turned from short track speed to speed skating project.In 2014, Zhang Hong achieved the "zero breakthrough" of the Chinese Skill Skating Project Winter Olympics at the Sochi Winter Olympics.
