China's new foreign minister Qin Gang has been invited to visit the five African countries from now on, seeking to promote China -Africa relations.This is the first visit since Qin Gang's appointment as a foreign minister.

According to the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Wang Wenbin, a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced on Monday (January 9) that in order to further deepen China -Africa's comprehensive strategic partnership and promote friendly cooperation between China and Africa, China Foreign Minister Qin GangFrom January 9th to 16th, 2023, he will be invited to visit Ethiopia, Gabon, Angola, Benin, Egypt, and Africa Headquarters.

Qin Gang's visit is also the first visit to Africa at the beginning of 33 consecutive years.

Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi set off on January 4, 2021 to formally visit the five African countries such as Nigeria, Congo (Gold), Botswana, Taniel, and Seychelle.In January of last year, Wang Yi was invited to visit Eritrea, Kenya, and Komoro to continue the first year of the Chinese Foreign Minister to insist on visiting Africa's tradition for the first time, which reflects China ’s high emphasis on the development of traditional friendship between China and Africa and China -Africa relations.

The meeting of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China decided on December 30 last year to avoid Wang Yi's position as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and appointed Ambassador Qin Gang as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China, posted an article on the official media as a magazine as the director of the Central Foreign Affairs Office (Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Working Committee) on New Year's Day, showing that he had fully replaced Yang Jiechi's heads of Chinese diplomacy.
