The British government announced on Tuesday (February 22) to impose sanctions on five Russian banks and three billionaires.

According to Reuters, British Prime Minister Johnson called the government's first wave of sanctions on Russia after Russia's action on Ukraine on the 22nd, after Russia's action against Ukraine.

Johnson described Russia's independence in the two separate regions of Wudong and "re -launched invasion" to neighbor Western neighbors.

Johnson said: "Britain and our allies will begin improving sanctions on Russia ... sanctioning Russian individuals and individuals who have strategic importance to the Kremlin."

He also said that if the Kremlin has further launched an invasion, another wave of sanctions will be issued.

The Russian banks facing sanctions are industrial communications banks (Promsvyazbank), Genbank, Black Sea Bank for Development and Reconstruction, and Industrial Savings Bank (IS Bank) and Russian Bank of Russia.(Rossiya Bank).These banks' assets will be frozen.

Three wealthy Russia's billionaires are Gennady Timchenko, Boris Rotenberg, and Igot Bayberg(Igor Rotenberg).All their assets in the UK will be frozen and prohibited from entering Britain. British companies and individuals will also prohibit trade with them.All three are closely related to Russian President Putin.
