(Taipei News) There are still more than four months before the 2024 Taiwan election voting. The latest polls show that voters are currently optimistic about Lai Qingde, the current vice president and the DPP presidential candidate. His support rate exceeded 40 %.
The Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation announced the latest poll results on the website on Monday (August 21).At present, the Taiwan election in 2024 will compete by Lai Qingde, Kuomintang candidate Hou Youyi, and the public party candidate Ke Wenzhe.
When the public opinion survey asked who to support, 43.4%of the respondents supported Lai Qingde, 26.6%supported Ke Wenzhe, 13.6%supported Hou Youyi, 10.2%failed to decide, 6.1%had no opinion, and did not know or refused to answer.
You Yinglong, chairman of the Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation, said that this indicates that the election in Taiwan has changed dramatically. Lai Qingde's support has reached a new high. In addition to leading the leader of Ke Wenzhe and Hou Youyi, it is also more than two more than the current Cai Yingwen's support in the same month in 2019.One percentage point.
He pointed out that compared with last month, Lai Qingde's support increased significantly by seven percentage points, and it was up to 1.2 percentage points, which ranked second, and there was no big damage, but it was getting farther and farther from the first and farther and farther.; Hou Youyi fell sharply by 6.6 percentage points, and the original "stable situation" worsened.
You Yinglong pointed out that when Lai Qingde's public opinion support soared 43 %, Ke Wenzhe and Hou Youyi had only two7 % and one -four %, which had broken the triangle principle of "both sides and greater than the third side".The election situation is no longer a three -footed, replaced by the competitive structure of "one strong, one middle, and one weak".Can such a structure continue until next year's election voting date?He thinks it is possible, but there are still variables.
The Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation started this poll from August 14th to 15th, with adults over 20 years old in Taiwan.
