The Hong Kong Chief Executive Li Jiachao, who was visiting Asia, arrived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on Tuesday (July 30), and communicated with the Chinese ambassador Wang Wenbin in Cambodia.Li Jiachao said that he looked forward to cooperating with Wang Wenbin to further strengthen economic and trade relations between the mainland, Hong Kong and Cambodia.
According to a press release issued by the Hong Kong Government News Network, the Li family led the Hong Kong delegation on Tuesday, transferred from Laos to Cambodia Phnom Penh, and continued to visit the Asia Safe State.
After arriving in Phnom Penh on the same day, Li Jiachao attended the exchange meal set up by Wang Wenbin.Li Jiachao thanked the Embassy for supporting the exchange of Hong Kong and Cambodia and for assistance to local Hong Kong people.He looks forward to cooperating with Wang Wenbin to further strengthen economic and trade relations between the mainland, Hong Kong and Cambodia.
Li Jiachao visited the Cambodia and Jiahua Group in the afternoon to learn about the development of its financial services, construction and real estate development, infrastructure construction, hotels, education, and medical care.
He said that as an international financial center, Hong Kong has the advantages of capital, talent, technology and market resources. Hong Kong and Cambodian companies can discuss more opportunities for cooperation, discover new opportunities, promote the common prosperity of the two places and the economydevelop.
The Li family will meet with Cambodia's political and business leaders on Wednesday (31st) and move to Vietnam to visit in the afternoon.
