Chen Maobo, the director of the Hong Kong Financial Secretary, said on Tuesday (November 7) that he was still arranging the itinerary related to the informal meeting with the leaders of the Asia -Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), and there is currently no expectation to meet with US officials.

For the US members' sanctions on 49 Hong Kong officials, judges and prosecutors, Chen Maobo criticized this move when he responded that it was completely unacceptable.
Chen Maobo also predicts that Hong Kong will achieve more than 3%of economic growth this year, lower than the estimated 3.5%to 5.5%when the budget was announced earlier.
