The Hong Kong Government said that the Hong Kong Chief Executive Li Jiachao failed to go to the United States to participate in the informal meeting of the leaders of the Asia -Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in the United States and will be attended by the Financial Secretary Chen Maobo.
According to the report, the Hong Kong Government stated in the press release that it has received the invitation of the host of the Asia -Pacific Economic Cooperation Organization as usual. Li Jiachao failed to personally attend the meeting on behalf of Hong Kong due to the schedule, and Chen Maobo will attend.
Hong Kong Government also said that the Hong Kong SARS has always participated in the Asia -Pacific Economic Cooperation as a formal and individual members in the name of Hong Kong, China, and will continue to participate in the Asia -Pacific Organization Organization's affairs in order to promote economic cooperation in the Asia -Pacific region.
