The data released on the official website on Thursday (January 12) of the National Bureau of Statistics of China shows that China's CPI rose from 1.6%in November to 1.8%year -on -year.The 1.8%forecast was flat, of which food prices rose 4.8%, an increase of 1.1 percentage points from the previous month; the prices of potato and fresh fruits rose 12.7%and 11.0%, respectively, and the increase was expanded.Non -food prices rose 1.1%, the same as last month.
China ’s consumer prices in the year in 2022 rose 2.0%over the previous year.
China PPI fell 0.7%year -on -year in December last year, and November was 1.3%.Economists who participated in the Reuters survey predicted earlier that PPI declined by 0.1%.From a month -on -month perspective, China PPI fell from 0.1%in November to a negative 0.5%in December.However, China ’s full -year PPI in 2022 rose 4.1%over the previous year.
Dong Lijuan, chief statistician of the Urban Division of the National Bureau of Statistics of China, said in interpretation of the data that in December, due to the decline in the price of oil and related industries, the PPI rose from the previous month.The year -on -year decline narrowed.
