China Xiamen will build the world's largest civil aviation aircraft maintenance hangar.

According to the China News Agency, Xiamen Swire Aircraft Engineering Co., Ltd. (referred to as Xiamen Taikoo) Sunday (January 8) held the construction ceremony of Xiamen Taikoo Xiang'an New Airport maintenance base.

The official Jianwen, the chief executive of Xiamen Taikoo, introduced that the newly constructed Xiamen Taikoo Xiang'an New Airport maintenance base can accommodate 12 wide -body aircraft and six narrow aircraft, including two independent spray paintPutting planes can flexibly park aircraft with different models and maintenance requirements.

Guan Jianwen said: "After the completion of the new base, it will become the world's largest -scale and largest civil aviation aircraft maintenance hangar."

According to reports, the new base occupies the areaIt covers an area of about 537,300 square meters and built a total of 18 new buildings for the apron project, engine testing platform, underground comprehensive pipe gallery, aviation fuel supply and other outdoor operations.

Xiamen Taikoo, established in 1993, is now one of the leading aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul service providers in the Asia -Pacific region.
