According to the news of the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection on September 8th: Lin Ruiwu, member of the Standing Committee of the Shantou Municipal Committee of Guangdong Province and deputy mayor of the municipal government, is suspected of serious disciplinary violations and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection.

Public information shows that Lin Ruiwu was born in August 1967, with the Provincial Party School University, a member of the Communist Party of China.

He was the head of the Standing Committee of the Chenghai District Committee of Shantou City, the executive deputy head of the executive district, the head of the safety and the lotus mine environment improvement engineering headquarters of Lianhua Mountain Tungsten Mine, and the party secretary and director of the Shantou Land and Resources Bureau.

In December 2019, Lin Ruiwu served as Secretary of the Jinping District Committee of Shantou City. In November 2021, he served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Shantou Municipal Party Committee. In January 2022, he was the deputy mayor of Shantou City.
