Cen Haohui, the president of the Macau Final Audit Court, which is regarded as a popular candidate in Macau, is reportedly held a press conference on Wednesday (August 28) to announce the election.
The "Sing Tao Headline" in Hong Kong reported on Tuesday (27th) that the director of the Court of Final Appeal, Cen Haohui, resigned and prepared to run for the Chief Executive. It is expected to become the only candidate for the Chief Executive in October.
Macau Monday (26th) announced that Ying Cen Haohui's request has been exempted from the positions of Cen Haohui as the Dean of the Court of Final Appeal, the judge of the Final Appeal of the Final Appeal, and a member of the independent committee member of the Macau Special Administrative Region.This also means that Tuesday is the last day of Cen Haohui's performance of the above position.
Cen Haohui responded to a question about whether he would participate in the chief executive election: "Consider."
The nomination period for candidates is from August 29 to September 12.According to the Macau Chief Executive Election Law, the main officials or judges must resign or retire before the nomination start date, otherwise they must not be nominated as candidates.
