U.S. President Bayeng on Monday (August 7) signed the first batch of the Agreement of the 21st Century Trade initiative to be signed into a law.However, he reserved the requirements of the bill of negotiations on the future of the US -Taiwan Trade Agreement.
Comprehensive Reuters and VOA reports, the first batch of agreement enforcement bills for the 21st Century Trade initiative passed by the two House of Representatives, was sent to the White House on July 27.
This bill stipulates that any agreement with Taiwan ’s administrative official in the future must consult with Congress and the American people.
Bayeng issued a statement on Monday saying: "Article 7 of this bill has some requirements on the US and Taiwan to further reach a trade agreement, causing constitutional issues."
Biden said that these claims to submit the draft trade agreement to Congress, "If illegally violated the constitutional power of negotiating with foreign partners," will be regarded as not legal binding.
