The floods caused by the destruction of the Khahofka Hydropower Station in Hermuson, southern Ukraine are fading, and the lower reaches of the Dieber River may return to normal by June 16.
Tas News Saturday (June 10) quoted Hermuson's agent of Chief Executive Saldo as saying that the water level in the new Khahofka city near the Khahofka Hydropower Station decreased by 3 meters a day before,It is still 7 meters higher than the normal water level.The drainage and garbage cleaning work of urban areas began.According to Russian Hydropower Corporation estimates, the Dieber River, located below the Khahofka Hydropower Station, may fall to the normal water level by the 16th.
Saldo said that as of the morning of the 10th, more than 6,000 residents have been evacuated from the affected area, including 235 children and 81 inconvenient actions.He added that more than 1,700 of the evacuation personnel lived in a temporary residence, and 62 were hospitalized.
