(Beijing/New Delhi Comprehensive News) China and India held a meeting of border affairs consultations and coordination working mechanisms on Wednesday (May 31). The two sides agreed to speed up related issues such as the western section of the border and continue to promote the border situation to cool down.

According to the news released by the official website of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday (June 1), Hong Liang, the director of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Marine Affairs Hong Liang, co -hosted a meeting in New Delhi, the Secretary of the Department of Foreign Minister's Office of the Department of Foreign Ministry,Representatives of foreign diplomacy, national defense, immigration and other departments attended.

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the two sides fully affirmed the effectiveness of the previous foreign military communication, exchanged opinions on the current common concern and the next stage of work ideas, and reached three consensus.

These consensus include: the two parties fully exchanged opinions on the recent consensus reached by the two countries, and agreed to speed up related issues such as the western section of the border; the two sides agreedBorder areas peace and peace.

In addition, the two sides agreed to hold the 28th meeting of the 19th round of military talks and the work mechanism of border affairs and coordination.

According to the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying that the two sides of India and China reviewed the situation along the actual control line of the western border, and discussed the proposal to get out of contact in the remaining areas in a frank and public way.

The

statement also said that the recovery of peace and tranquility will create conditions for the normalization of bilateral relations.

Hindu reports reported that from the latest statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, the two sides' meetings are still slow in solving the border issues.

China -India has a border dispute in May 2020, and relations between the two countries have deteriorated rapidly.In June of that year, a fierce conflict broke out in the Galwan Valley, causing at least 24 casualties on both sides.
