Taiwan Vice President Xiao Meiqin and the Canadian delegation visited Taiwan said that maintaining the stability of the Taiwan Strait is of great significance to global prosperity, and it is also the common interests of Taiwan and Canada.
According to the press release of the Taiwan government, Xiao Meiqin visited the Canadian National Security Affairs Interview Troupe on Monday (September 16).The delegation was led by former Canadian Prime Minister Guoan consultant Richard Fadden, accompanied by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Chen Liguo and the representative of the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei, Jim Nickel.
Xiao Meiqin thanked Canada for standing with other global democratic camps in recent years, emphasizing the importance of peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.

Xiao Meiqin also thanked the guests for their attention to Taiwan and plus partnership, and hoped that through exchanges, they would further deepen the cooperative relationship between the two parties.
